Professorship of Law

The Professorship of Law is part of the Center for Law & Economics within the Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences at ETH Zurich. The professorship focuses on banking, financial services, corporate governance and EU integration. Through research projects, workshops and teaching activities, the professorship participates in the international discourse in the areas mentioned. It co-organizes the Workshop & Lecture Series in Law & Finance, which regularly brings leading internationally well-known experts from all over the world to Zurich.

On Tuesday, September 27, our Workshop & Lecture Series in Law & Finance will start with an introduction by Prof. Gerard Hertig and Dr. Paolo Pamini at 16:15 in the University of Zurich room KO2 F 172. On Tuesday, September 20, and Wednesday, September 21, we'll have Prof. Bernt Hugenholtz (Amsterdam) as our guest. His Tuesday presentation on "Hyperlinking after GS Media: is the World Wide Web coming to an end in the EU?" starts at 16:15 in the University of Zurich room RAI F 41. Congratulations to Dr. Damian Kozbur

This summer, Damian Kozbur, a former Postdoctorial Fellow and current Research Affiliate at the Center for Law & Economics at ETH Zurich, was appointed Assistant Professor of Econometrics at the department of economics of the University of Zurich. Damian holds a PhD in econometrics and statistics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research focuses on inference in high dimensional econometric models, big data and the applications of econometrics in development. Read more
